Frankly My Dear, I Don’t Give A Damn

Although I rarely photograph weddings, I’ve cherished the pleasant surprise moments I encounter in each and every one.

Leading the bride and groom to their next portrait location, I found Meg, one of the bridesmaids, outside the wedding venue on a smoke break.

As an ambivert who shies away from attention, I find myself revisiting this sequence of photos time and time again, attracted to Meg’s don’t-give-a-damn confidence.

There was something so freeing to me, watching her take a drag, wearing her chic bridesmaid outfit without a seeming care in the world.
