A Love Note to Late Bloomers

I’m not a girl boss
a maven
a boss babe
or a lady boss.

I’m a founder.
A life-changer.
A leader
a WOMAN.

My fine lines are signs of wisdom
Conquered through years of failure and triumph.

These visible stripes have earned me a seat to my own throne.

I traded scattered energy for intelligent focus.
Transformed inexperience into keen insight.
Left my ego for compassion and curiosity.
Shunned comparison for self-efficacy.
Traded “can’t evens” for perseverance and resilience.

And I finally made friends with a former foe: TIME.
I became a better version of my past self.

I am not a late bloomer.
I’m just on time.

And it’s about damn time.
